The scanner was purchased as a DSW500, in 2000 and upgraded to a DSW700 in June 2005. It has all of the current upgrades including the more rugged wire harness and more precise encoder bars. We have had the friction drive bars replaced as well.

The HP XW8200 workstation is three years old with 446GB of internal RAID, 2GB of RAM and dual Xeon 3.4GHz CPU. It is running Windows XP operating system.
